Corporate Responsiblity

Severn Partnership has always tried to consider the impact of our activities on customers, employees, the environment, the communities in which we work and society in general.

Corporate Responsibility has been seen as a key element in the development of our business and positively encouraged to all members of the team to contribute to a range of initiatives. We are proud of the commitment shown by all our people in supporting initiatives and the way in which they have developed their own ideas, some of which are featured below.
  • Hope House Charity in the early years was provided free office space by Severn Partnership. Hope House now provides palliative care to terminally ill children from Shropshire, Chester & Powys.

  • The Local Severn Hospice has been supported with Severn Partnership entering Dragon Boat Racing teams in 2005, 2007 and actually winning the event in 2009. Total funds raised £3,600.00.

  • With daily stints from the team at Severn Partnership Mark Combes walked the 177 miles of Offa’s Dyke and raised £2400.00 for Severn Hospice in 2006.

  • African communities are supported each year through Oxfam by Sally Jury collecting monies from the Severn Partnership team in lieu of giving Christmas cards. We have given a donkey, goat, school books, school dinners and school desks

  • Green Travel Scheme. Anett Dude decided to take the Environment Policy one step further and reduce our ‘Carbon Footprint’ by persuading people to travel to work without using their car. Staff are paid a mileage rate for travelling to work by getting lifts, car share, walk, cycle or take public transport.
All those taking part donate money they gain to their favourite charities. Air Ambulance and Severn Hospice have benefited in previous years and we have a healthier more active team.

  • Business Education Link – taking on work experience students, sandwich course students and students direct from University in to full time employment.

  • Young Enterprise – a charity which gets businesses into school to educate pupils about work and to equip young people to succeed through enterprise has been supported by Severn Partnership for the last 5 years.
Members of the team at all levels have volunteered to deliver ‘modules’ and engage with the children by sharing work experiences through a structured programme of learning.

  • Severn Partnership have a system to Recycle paper and cardboard

  • Work Life Balance: So, while we work hard and try to put something back into the community we also believe in playing hard, so that we all achieve a high output work life balance.

Each year a number of events are organised; from the Summer BBQ to a Christmas party and more energetic activities are the annual 10 pin bowling event, white water rafting, motor track racing, mountain biking, and the Severn Partnership Rounders team.
