In the simplest case, if you request an extracted linework DXF or DWG, then you do not require anything other than your standard CAD program. We can even supply you with a 3D animation of the dataset free of charge that will run on any PC or Mac.

Free scan data viewers are available to visualise the data and make simple queries:

Data manipulation:

  • Pointools – 3d model and drawing visualisation and animation package. Great for presentations and simple data extraction
  • AutoCAD (Full version) – with the ‘Cloudworx’ plugin
  • Microstation – with the Cloudworx’ plugin
  • Rhino – with a pointools plug-in for full 3D wireframe and modelling capability
Other programs available with plug-ins for Google Sketchup are expected to be available early in 2008
