Aerial Photogrammetry & LIDAR Surveys

Severn Partnership have carried out a number of successful Aerial Photogrammetry projects, from topographical surveys of quarries, to large city centre road surveys for transport route planning.

There are a number of benefits to this photogrammetry approach:
  • A large area can be covered rapidly
  • Avoid Complex and controversial land access problems can be avoided
  • There are Health & Safety benefits from a remote survey
  • Costly road or lane closures can be avoided
  • Costly rail possessions can be avoided
  • A value added dataset (orthorectified photography) is produced

We can advise on the achievable accuracies and whether this could be the solution to your needs.

Our service to you involves:

  • Setting a detailed survey specification to meet your needs
  • Installing and coordinating photo control points
  • Arranging the aerial photography flight
  • Arranging Helicopter LIDAR surveys
  • Collating aerial survey data to be issued in the required format (3D DXF, DWG or ASCII text file of raw data for MX)
  • Field checking the survey data and infilling shadow areas
  • Commissioning orthorectified photography
  • Helping you utilise the orthophoto data where needed
Please call Nick Blenkarn or Mark Combes on 0844 880 8247 or e-mail webenquiry@severnpartnership.co.uk to discuss your project requirements.
