Digital Terrain Models (DTM)

Digital terrain models (DTMs) are a digital representation of ground surface topography. They take the form of a 3D surface model interpolated from the three dimensional points of our standard topographical survey drawings.

They can be a deliverable to the client, used to form contours on a plan or simply used as a quality assurance aid to check our own data.

Once formed, the DTMs also provide the basis for volumetric analysis, cutting sections automatically or simple visualisation of topographic or archaeological features.

Please call Nick Blenkarn or Mark Combes on 0844 880 8247 or e-mail webenquiry@severnpartnership.co.uk to discuss your project requirements.
