Utility Detection and Location Surveys

The necessity for the accurate location of buried services and the intelligent presentation of results and reports has increased dramatically over the last decade.

Legislation, Health and Safety, diversions, connectivity and the increasing complexity of utility networks have all driven the requirement forward.

Severn Partnership personnel have many years experience in the project management of surveys where there is a requirement for both topographical and underground services surveys, within the same project brief.

We have a close working relationship with experienced utility survey providers; working together to provide a complete survey solution. The traced services are surveyed as part of our topographical survey, using our latest survey equipment (Leica smartnet and Trimble magdrive total stations).

Benefits to our clients are many. We can:
  • Provide a quotation for both tasks.
  • Provide advice on the most suitable methodology.
  • Programme and manage the entire project in-house.
  • Draw upon the most suitably experienced survey teams and equipment to suit the particular project.
  • Partner with specialists.
  • Deliver a seamless final product.
  • Present the routes of services in hard copy and in digital format in 2D
By surveying the traced services with our total stations and GPS we can also provide the data as 3-dimensional strings and generate cross-sections through corridors of interest.

Please call Nick Blenkarn or Mark Combes on 0844 880 8247 or e-mail webenquiry@severnpartnership.co.uk to discuss your project requirements.
